Trinity Sling Hosts Columbus McKinnon Rigging Inspection Training

DFW Rigging Professionals Henry Brozyna of Columbus McKinnon explains recent industry changes and updates to DFW rigging professionals.

Arlington, Texas — International rigging and automotive equipment supplier Trinity Sling today hosted Columbus McKinnon (CM), an expert provider of US-made rigging products, as it provided industry-specific training on its mobile crane rigging gear.

The CM all-day rigging inspection course was held November 29, 2018 at Trinity Sling’s Arlington, Texas headquarters, and it educated industry professionals on the latest developments in mobile crane rigging gear and its inspection.

Trinity Sling sales professionals are already familiar with the products and changes in question, as they regularly offer their customers Columbus McKinnon hoists, other chain rigging, and inspection services. The sales staff completed training on CM’s new offerings in July of this year. A CM distributor, Trinity Sling is also among the United States companies authorized as a CM Rigging Service Center, which authorizes it to inspect and certify CM products. Trinity Sling’s close relationship with CM gives it increased expertise with and exposure to CM crane hoists and CM’s LodeStar Electric Chain Hoist, Tornado 360 Ratchet Lever Hoist, Hurricane 360 Hand Chain Hoist.other CM rigging, and it ensures safe load securement with CM products.

Trinity Sling is already passing the training benefit on to its customers. Blesson George, a Trinity Sling sales engineer that recently completed the CM training, notes that “[the training] enabled me to gain more knowledge not only about CM’s new air hoist and other products but about their existing line of chain and wire rope hoists. I’ve already had a great response from my customers; this new information has enabled me to offer innovative ways to help them.”

George and others are particularly interested in CM’s new air hoist application, whose advantages include:

• Air Motors are not Damaged by Overload

• Safe in Case of Power Interruption

• Free from the Hazard of Electrical Shock

• Spark Resistant

• Has Highest Resistance to Corrosive Atmospheres

• Keeps Working in Extreme Heat

With the air hoist and other lifting innovations Trinity helps customers work smarter. As a rigging industry expert and information leader, Trinity feels compelled to share what it has learned about the new air hoist capabilities and advantages with any interested person in the rigging industry. Good information is crucial to operating in the most efficient, cost-effective, secure manner regardless of the working environment.

Whether riggers are

• in construction on a commercial job,

• working highway projects,

• completing factory finish-out,

• loading heavy duty equipment, or

• lifting heavy loads in any other number of outdoor and hazard-ridden environments,

proper lifting techniques and equipment are critical to successful, timely job completion.

Class participants noted how CM products can make a difference in their project efficiency and bottom line. “It helps us tremendously to have training like this so that we can ask questions that come up during a job and otherwise might not get answered. We want to work safe and smart, and time is money, so coming out to Trinity for this is a win for us,” comments Chris Harisis of Gerdau. “I will be sending folks [to the] next class for sure!”
