Available in a vast number of sizes and configurations to meet any customer application or load size. The most common shackle is a screw pin anchor (SPA) shackle. These shackles offer easy and convenient temporary connections for lifting and pulling applications. Safety bolt shackles are for longer-lasting installations and offer the protection of a bolt and nut confined by a cotter pin.
Shackles are manufactured and marked in accordance with ASME B30.26. All shackles distributed by Trinity Sling display the size and working load limit (WLL) on the bow of the shackle. Per industry standards all shackles have a minimum 5 to 1 design factor and are suitable for overhead lifting. All shackles are sized based on the WLL and the diameter of the bow. The pin of the shackle has a larger diameter than the bow. Shackles are designed to be used in line with the load, from the top of the bow to the pin. Up to a 120o angle may be used inside the bow, however, while retaining the full WLL of the shackle.
Trinity Sling is proud to offer shackles from two leading manufacturers: Green Pin and Columbus McKinnon. Green Pin is a proven European brand with an excellent value proposition for all sizes and configurations. Columbus McKinnon is proudly made in the USA and offers an innovative alloy shackle with a higher WLL per bow diameter than most other domestic shackles.
